Paraquat Herbicide

Paraquat dichloride is a highly toxic herbicide used for weed and grass control in agricultural settings. Despite being banned in more than 30 countries due to its extreme toxicity, it remains one of the most widely used herbicides in the United States, primarily in commercial farming. Scientific research has established a potential link between paraquat exposure and an increased risk of developing Parkinson's disease, a progressive nervous system disorder affecting movement. Lawsuits allege that manufacturers of paraquat products, including Syngenta and Chevron, failed to adequately warn users about the potential neurological risks associated with exposure to the chemical, even when used as directed with safety equipment.
